The costal plain ranges are great for farming when the dry desert is not. In the 6th century most of the people were farmers because of the fertile land. The people were also traders, because of their sea ports they could trade with many people like India and East Africa along with areas from the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. With farming and trading, the Coastal Plains had very powerful kingdoms.

Arabian Coastal Plain Environment
The environment's air is damp and moist with rain fall regularly. It is between 5 and 40 miles inland and ends with many rocky cliffs. Also, the coastal plain's have some natural harbors.
Arabian Desert Adaptations
Many Arabs lived in villages or towns but some were Nomads, who traveled through the desert while raising sheep, goat, and camels. Today they're still nomads who still live the ways as their ancestors.
Arabian Desert Environment
A majority of the land is desert. Its very hot and dry and is also very harsh. can rise above 120 degrees fahrenheit. When rain comes it occurs of usually violent storms and flash floods.
Arabian Oasis Adaption
At first nomads went to them while traveling and some even stayed and became sedentary. Today, towns surround Oases and many of the towns became small trading centers.
